May 5th Summerland Rotary projects

Here are the team enjoying the area around the lake.

We were taken to see some of the Rotary projects, which I found very interesting. particularly the shop, where they sell ex-Sears stock and raise enough money to fund youth workers. Most Rotary clubs seem to also fund projects or put in alot of 'sweat equity' on parks and gardens.

In the evening we went to Michael's house for a BBQ, salmon, which was delicious. Thanks to everyone you prepared the food. I liked the ancient grain too.

The picture is the view of the Giant's head from Michaels sofa. He is a geologist and this is in the middle of an ancient volcano. We did climb to the top. Well actually we drove most of the way up!!
